TV was the most impactful technology in America during the 50s-spanning both coasts and reaching 90 percent of U.S. homes by the end of the decade. Television brought America instant entertainment, news and politics, as well as propaganda, violence, deception and controversy. Historian Bill Weiss will discuss if the radical change created by television was good or bad for America and how our lives today are shaped by the stunning impact of TV in the 50s.
