The Prescott POPS Symphony is pleased to bring you the lyrical sounds and hauntingly beautiful melodies from the Green Isles in Celtic Colors. The wonder of Celtic music is partly due to its variety, running the gamut from medieval carols, dances and folk songs, to Irish-American songs and ballads. The orchestra will dazzle you with the drama and exhilaration of Ronan Hardimans Lord of the Dance, the dynamic suite composed originally for Michael Flatleys famous dance troupe. Victor Herberts masterpiece, Irish Rhapsody will charm you with its obvious Irish origins, variety and brilliant musicality. No concert devoted to Celtic music would be complete without Londonderry Air or Danny Boy, as most know it. This POPS program will excite, delight and thoroughly enchant you!
*Celtic music can be generally defined as the traditional music of the Celts who settled in Ireland, Scotland, Cornwall, Wales, Galacia, Brittany, Nova Scotia, and the Isle of Man.
Tickets: Adults - $25 Youth (18 & Under) - $5 Group discounts available.
