The City of Prescott held a community meeting on Thursday, September 10, in City Council Chambers at City Hall. The meeting provided an update regarding recent code changes, enforcement activities, and regulations enacted to address substance abuse treatment centers and community residences located within the city. For those who were unable to attend the meeting, it is available as a "video on demand” online at Public Access Channel 64.
The revisions to the Land Development Code modify definitions and appropriate zoning districts for categories of residential uses. The primary intent of the ordinance is to clarify uses compatible with single-family dwellings by amending the definition of family and adding a definition of single housekeeping unit.
