The City of Prescott (City) and their contractor, Cactus Asphalt, are set to begin a Micro Seal Pavement Preservation Project the week of August 5. The micro seal treatment will be completed along several roadways throughout the City of Prescott, as shown in the maps below. Prior to micro seal treatment, all affected roadways will require preparation work, including crack sealing and milling. This project is scheduled for completion in late fall 2024. Once complete, these improvements will extend pavement life and improve the
road quality for Prescott motorists.
A detailed door hanger will be delivered to those affected prior to micro seal operations. The notice will include information regarding the associated access, work hours and impacts.
Work may occur Monday through Friday, from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. with occasional night and weekend work. Please be aware of temporary street closures, lane restrictions, reduced speeds, rough road conditions, loud noise and flagging operations throughout the work zones. Access to businesses and residences will be maintained, however, temporary restrictions will occur. The City is dedicated to keeping the traveling public, businesses and residents informed of potential construction impacts throughout the project.
