Experience Prescott to host an Open House
May 21, from 1-4 p.m. at Prescott Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center
The City of Prescott Tourism Office (Experience Prescott) joins the rest of Arizona and the nation in celebrating National Travel & Tourism Week, May 19-25, 2024. Experience Prescott, will host an open house on Tuesday, May 21 from 1-4 p.m. at the Prescott Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, located at 117 W. Goodwin Street. Tourism stakeholders, businesses, visitors and residents are welcome to stop by to meet the Tourism Office staff and Tourism Advisory Committee (TAC) members, and learn more about Experience Prescott. Refreshments will be provided.
There will also be a free drawing for a Prescott Experience package donated by local businesses, including – A two night hotel stay at Springhill Suites, Discount Card from Matt’s Saloon, a Discount Card from Jersey Lilly Saloon, Coffee from Campgrounds, Two passes to the Phippen Museum, Two Passes to Museum of Indigenous People, and Two Passes to Sharlot Hall Museum.
In Prescott, Transient Occupancy (bed tax) dollars assist dozens of local non-profits and events. For Fiscal Year 2024, over $587,000 will go back into the community supporting special events like the World’s Oldest Rodeo, the Bluegrass Festival, and the Arizona’s Christmas City. Additionally, these funds support numerous public recreation improvements that citizens and visitors enjoy equally, including a new parking lot for the Bean Peaks Gravity Trail System.
Through the Tourism Grants, 19 locally based non-profits received a total of $80,000 in supporting grant dollars this year.
