On March 13th, 2024, with grant funding provided by the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety, the Prescott Police Department’s Traffic Safety Section partnered with Traffic Officers from the Prescott Valley Police Department, Chino Valley Police Department, and the Arizona Department of Public Safety to conduct focused enforcement on Willow Creek Road.
Willow Creek Road was selected for this detail in an effort to slow motorists and reduce traffic collisions along this busy roadway. Officers stopped 86 vehicles issuing citations and warnings for a variety of violations, with 60 of those violations being for speed.
The Prescott Police Department will continue to partner with Tri-City Task Force agencies to conduct traffic enforcement details with the goal of reducing poor driving behavior and serious traffic crashes.
Highway safety is the responsibility of every driver. If you observe erratic driving behavior, please report it to law enforcement immediately.
