Solid Waste crews were out early this morning assessing residential routes. With the amount of snow that fell throughout yesterday, and low overnight temperatures, residential trash collection cannot be completed safely. Many obstacles are obscured by the snow and icy conditions contribute to the safety concerns. Additionally, there is still more snow in the forecast.
The safety of our drivers and customers is our number one priority and considering all these factors, Residential Solid Waste collection must be cancelled for this week. We will return to regular collection next week, weather permitting.
The Transfer Station is open for business today and tomorrow with a later start time of 9am. Please remember to cover and contain your load when traveling to the Transfer Station.
