Patrick Grady Selected for City Council Seat

Following a special meeting and executive session on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 Prescott City Council selected Patrick Grady to serve on the body.  Mr. Grady was selected following a public meeting where council interviewed three finalists including Mr. Grady, Sherrie Hanna and Rex Mason.  Mr. Grady was sworn in by Mayor Phil Goode.  He will serve out the remainder of the term vacated by Cathey Rusing, through November 2027.

In his application for the council seat, Mr. Grady said “I enjoyed 30 years in public service. I believe that my local government experience can be of benefit to the community.” Mr. Grady has served multiple positions in local government, most recently with the City of Phoenix as Director of the Community and Economic Development Department.  He is an active volunteer with several local organizations, and currently serves on the Prescott Sustainability Working Group, in collaboration with the City Manager’s Office.
