Monday, June 30 at 1 pm  – Granite Mountain Interagency Hotshot Crew Learning and Tribute Center will host a ceremony marking the 12th anniversary of the Hotshots tragedy, followed by a 7th anniversary celebration of the opening of the Center.  The event will feature comments from Center Board Chair John Marsh, Prescott Fire Chief Holger Durre and other dignitaries.  The event will open with a bell ringing by Prescott Fire Department Honor Guard and a performance by the Central Arizona Pipe and Drum Corps, with a musical tribute to the Hotshots.  The Center is located at the Pineridge Marketplace, 3250 Gateway Blvd, near Dillards.

Monday, June 30, 2024 at 4:42 PM –  Yavapai County will mark the 12th anniversary by ringing the Courthouse bells 19 times beginning at 4:42 p.m. in honor of the fallen heroes.  The bells are best heard on the south side of the plaza.  This is intended to be  quiet moment of reflection. There will be no public program or comments.

Memorial

The Granite Mountain Hotshots Memorial, on the east side of the Yavapai County Courthouse Plaza, is adjacent to Cortez Street, near Union.  The memorial was dedicated in 2024, and stands as a year-round tribute the 19 brave heroes.  The City of Prescott and Prescott Fire Department thank the committee that worked for over 10 years on the memorial statue which will forever honor our fallen heroes.
