FY26 Pavement Preservation Project: SR89 and Prescott Lakes Parkway – Scheduled to Begin the Week of August 18, 2025

The City of Prescott (City) and their contractor, Sunland Asphalt & Construction, are set to begin
a pavement preservation project on August 18, with completion expected in mid-October 2025.
The project includes pavement maintenance and preservation operations along Prescott Lakes
Parkway, between SR89 and SR69, and along SR89, between Yavpe Connector and the Willow
Lake Road roundabout. Please note that both roundabouts (Willow Lake Road roundabout and
along Prescott Lakes Parkway) are included in this project. Once complete, these improvements
will extend pavement life and enhance road quality for Prescott motorists.

THE SCHEDULE IS AS FOLLOWS:

Prescott Lakes Parkway, from SR89 to SR69:
August 18 to August 22: Asphalt milling and preparation work.
August 25 to September 5: Two-step pavement preservation application.
September 8 to September 12: Roadway striping.
SR89, from Yavpe Connector to the Willow Lake Road roundabout:
September 2 to September 10: Pavement repairs and lowering utility covers.
September 15 to October 3: Asphalt milling and paving operations.
October 8 to October 17: Raising utility covers to the finished road grade and roadway striping.

DURING THIS WORK YOU CAN EXPECT:

– Crews working from 5 a.m. to 7 p.m. with night work performed as needed
– Flagging operations and temporary traffic control changes
– Temporary street closures
– Lane restrictions
– Reduced speeds
– Construction noise
– Travel delays
– Crews will work to maintain business access as best as possible
