One Card, Endless Possibilities: Celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month this September

This September, Prescott Public Library invites you to celebrate Library Card Sign-Up Month and discover how a single card can open the door to endless opportunities.

With a library card, you can do more than check out books. From free programs and technology resources to homework help, streaming media, and cultural events, today’s libraries connect communities to information, inspiration, and each other.

This year’s theme, “One Card, Endless Possibilities,” is a reminder that libraries are for everyone—no matter your age, background, or goals. Whether you’re diving into a new hobby, searching for your next great read, brushing up on tech skills, or helping your child succeed in school, it all starts with a library card.

At Prescott Public Library you’ll find:
Books, audio books, and DVDs; online streaming movies and TV shows; print and online magazines and newspapers; free computers and Wi-Fi; printing, copying and faxing; and meeting and study rooms. Knowledgeable and welcoming staff are ready to assist with finding books, research materials, and answers to your questions.

Library of Things: Check out telescopes, hiking kits, color blind glasses, pickleball kits, book club kits, a culture pass to a museum, Wi-Fi hotspots, and more.
Programs and events for all ages—from story times and book clubs to genealogy and tech help.  Attend a music concert or popular lecture series.

This year we are doing something special to encourage library card sign-ups and use. Anyone getting a new card in September will get a chance to spin the wheel to earn a prize that may include a t-shirt, hat, tumbler, or book bag. But we haven’t forgotten all our existing loyal cardholders either.  Patrons who show us their library card get to pick a prize from the treasure chest. Replacement card fees are waived in September, so if you can’t find your card come in and we will replace it for free!

Getting a library card is free, easy, and empowering. For students, it’s a key to academic success. For adults, it’s a gateway to lifelong learning. For everyone, it’s a smart way to stay connected to your community.

Stop by Prescott Public Library or visit us online at prescottlibrary.info to sign up for your card today, because with a Prescott Public Library card, the possibilities are truly endless!
