Leak Detected in Effluent Water Line along SR89 – Repairs to begin

October 13, 2025

On Saturday, October 11, the City of Prescott (City) detected a leak in the effluent water line along SR89, within the Willow Lake Road roundabout. City crews are set to begin repairing the leak on Wednesday, October 15, and expect to complete this work, including pavement restoration, by October 22.

SR89 will be closed to northbound traffic at the Willow Lake Road roundabout. A detour route will be in place along Willow Lake Road. Southbound traffic along SR89 and access to the Watson Lake Recreation area will not be affected. Motorists should expect delays and use an alternate route if possible. Please follow the marked signage, posted speed limit and remain alert of construction crews working in the area. Access for local businesses will be maintained.

For questions and additional information, please contact Public Works at (928) 777-1130. The City appreciates your patience and understanding while we work to complete these utility repairs.
