PRESCOTT REGIONAL EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION SYSTEM TO CONDUCT TEST ALERT THROUGH SMART911

The Prescott Regional Communications Center (PRCC), in coordination with Smart911 powered by Rave Mobile Safety, will conduct a test of the Prescott Regional Emergency Notification (PREN) System on Wednesday April 29, 2026, between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm.

This test ensures the system’s readiness and helps verify that residents can receive timely, accurate information during emergencies. The message will clearly state that it is only a test and will be sent to those who have registered for emergency alerts through Smart911. Notifications may arrive by text, email, voice call, or the Smart911 app, depending on user preferences.

No action is required from residents. However, those who do not receive the test message are encouraged to update or register their Smart911 profiles to confirm their contact information. Registration is available at smart911.com, or by downloading the Smart911 app, or texting “PREN” to 67283.

The Prescott Regional Emergency Notification System serves the City of Prescott, Town of Prescott Valley, and other agencies dispatched through PRCC. Using Smart911, the system delivers location-based alerts to keep residents informed about emergencies such as wildfires, severe weather, and evacuations.

This test will not require any response from residents or emergency services. It is part of PRCC’s continued commitment to ensuring public safety and communication readiness throughout the region.
