City of Prescott Announces Independence Day Holiday Closures 2026

In observance of Independence Day, the City of Prescott will have the following closures and modified schedules.

City Offices
City offices will be closed on Friday, July 3rd, and will reopen Monday, July 6th, at 8 a.m.

Solid Waste Collection
Residential trash and recycling collection will continue their regular schedules.

Commercial collection normally scheduled for Saturday will be collected on Friday, July 3rd.

Transfer Station
The Prescott Transfer Station will be open on Friday, July 3rd, and closed on Saturday, July 4th. Normal operations will resume on Monday, July 6th.

Prescott Public Library
The Prescott Public Library will be closed on Friday, July 3rd and Saturday, July 4th, and will reopen on Monday, July 6th, at 9 a.m.

Library digital resources remain available 24/7, including eBooks, online databases, and streaming video, at prescottlibrary.info.
