PRESCOTT, AZ (August 21, 2026) – City of Prescott offices and several City services will observe modified schedules in recognition of the Labor Day holiday on Monday, September 7, 2026.
City Offices
City of Prescott offices will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. Regular office hours will resume on Tuesday, September 8.
Solid Waste Collection and Transfer Station
The Transfer Station will be closed Monday, September 7, and will reopen Tuesday, September 8, at 7 a.m.
The Solid Waste Division will not collect residential trash and recyclables on Monday. Residential collection will be delayed by one day throughout the week:
- Monday’s collection: Tuesday
- Tuesday’s collection: Wednesday
- Wednesday’s collection: Thursday
- Thursday’s collection: Friday
Commercial dumpster customers will also experience a schedule adjustment early in the week:
- Monday’s collection: Tuesday
- Tuesday’s collection: Wednesday
- Wednesday’s collection: Thursday
- Thursday, Friday and Saturday collections: Regular schedule

Prescott Public Library
Prescott Public Library will be closed on Monday, September 7, in observance of Labor Day. The Library will reopen at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, September 8.
