Pavement Preservation Work to Begin Week of September 7

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRESCOTT, AZ (September 3, 2026) – As part of the FY27 Pavement Preservation Project, the
City of Prescott and their contractor, Cactus Asphalt, are set to begin pavement maintenance
operations the week of September 7, 2026. This work will take place along Madison Avenue, at
Miller Valley Road, and North Walnut Street, between Whipple Street and Miller Valley Road.

During this work, residents and businesses can expect: continuous property access, flagging
operations, loud noise, reduced speeds, rough road conditions, early morning trash and
recycling pick-up and temporary lane and driveway restrictions. This is a fast-paced project and
is expected to be complete in October.

The City is dedicated to keeping the traveling public, businesses and residents informed of
potential construction impacts throughout the project. For questions and additional project
information, please call the Project Hotline at 928-237-3114
