National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The Prescott Police Department invites community members to participate in the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) National Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 24, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Location: Prescott Police Department
222 S. Marina St., Prescott, AZ

This free and anonymous event provides a safe way to dispose of unneeded, unwanted, or expired prescription medications and helps prevent medication misuse.

Accepted items: Tablets, capsules, patches, and other solid forms of prescription medications.

Items not accepted: Syringes, sharps, or illicit drugs. Liquid medications, such as cough syrup, should remain sealed in their original containers with caps tightly secured to prevent leaks.

If you can’t make it to the event, the Prescott Police Department also has a medication disposal box available in its lobby during regular business hours, providing a convenient way to safely dispose of unwanted medications throughout the year.
