Public Invited to June 10 Study Session
In a continued commitment to accountability and transparency, the City of Prescott is excited to announce the launch of its new OpenGov Transparency Portal—an interactive online tool that provides the public with easy access to the City’s financial data.
The portal enables users to view pre-configured reports or create custom reports using filters and sorting features. Its interactive design allows users to drill down into data, making it easy to scale from high-level overviews to line-item detailed information. Users can explore current budgets, historical financials, and departmental expenditures—and even download the data in Excel format for further analysis or research.
A dedicated Proposition 478 Public Safety Tax Initiative page is also available through the portal, offering a transparent summary of revenue received, expenditures, and any unspent funds. The page also includes information about future infrastructure plans and operations tied to the proposition.
To introduce the portal and further engage the community, the City invites the public to attend a City Council Study Session focused on the OpenGov tools Tuesday June 10, 2025 at 1 pm at the New City Hall Council Chambers 201 N Montezuma St.
The session will feature an overview of the portal’s capabilities, including a live demonstration on how to access and utilize the OpenGov tools.
“Good governance is one of Council’s Strategic Priorities,” said City Manager Dallin Kimble. “This portal reflects our ongoing effort to make government more open, efficient, and accountable to the people we serve.”
