City of Prescott Public Works Receives Bronze Award for Voluntary Environmental Stewardship from State Agency

The City of Prescott Public Works Airport Water Reclamation Facility has received a Bronze award for the Voluntary Environmental Stewardship Program (VESP), from the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality (ADEQ).

According to ADEQ, this program awards participants who have a “good history of environmental compliance and strive to go beyond what is legally required to protect public health and the environment”.  The Bronze Level award is a recognition of facilities that do not have any violations on record with any environmental regulatory agency and has maintained compliance for three years .

“We are pleased to receive this recognition,” said Gwen Rowitsch, Public Works Director.  “This is great recognition of the commitment to excellence that the Utilities group strives to accomplish.”
