Council to Review Revised Plans for Prescott Plaza Hotel

Public Notices Mailed to Surrounding Addresses

Prescott City Council will review the continuation of an appeal from the developers of the Prescott Plaza Hotel, to be located at 136, 138, & 140 South Montezuma Street. The review will take place at the City Council meeting on Tuesday, July 8 at the 3 pm Voting Meeting at Prescott City Hall.  201 N. Montezuma Street, in the first floor Council Chambers.  The meeting is open to the public. Those who cannot attend in person can view the meeting live or afterwards on the City of Prescott website, Prescott-az.gov, the City Facebook page, City of Prescott, AZ, and on the public access station on Sparklight TV.

For enhanced public awareness, notices were mailed to residential and business addresses in the vicinity of the project.  Below is text from the public notice.

PUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that a VOTING SESSION will be held before the Prescott City Council on July 8th, 2025 at 3:00 p.m., in Council Chambers, City Hall, 201 N. Montezuma St. (1st floor), Prescott, Arizona to consider the following:

HP25-004: Continuation of appeal with updated design for review and approval for demolition of existing buildings and construction of 47-room, 4-story boutique hotel (Prescott Plaza Hotel). [Location: 136, 138 & 140 S Montezuma St.; APN: 109-02-014A; Zoning: DTB; Historic Preservation District: #1 Courthouse Plaza; Applicant/Owner: Jim Griset; Architect: Dough Stroh].

The full Agenda packet will be posted on the City’s meeting portal at https://prescottaz.portal.civicclerk.com/ approximately one week preceding the meeting. If you have any additional questions or would like to submit comment(s) ahead of time, please email planning@prescott-az.gov. Early comment is encouraged as we anticipate a large volume of public input and will be forwarding it to the Council ahead of the meeting.
