Prescott City Council Study Session on Workforce Housing

The Workforce Housing Committee for the City of Prescott invites citizens to join them on Tuesday, May 27th, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Prescott City Hall Council Chambers, 201 N. Montezuma for an important City Council Study Session focused on Workforce Housing.

The Committee will present a draft Workforce Housing Policy that outlines different goals, strategies, and potential tools the City can use to support housing options for Prescott’s essential workers- teachers, healthcare professionals, public safety personnel, service workers and more.

“Housing affordability directly impacts our local economy, workforce stability, and overall community wellbeing,” said Workforce Housing Committee staff liaison Amber Fraser.  “This draft policy is the first step in developing actionable solutions that reflect Prescott’s values and priorities.”

Following the Study Session, City Council will provide feedback on the initial draft policy. That input will guide the Committee and staff in refining the document, with plans to return to a future meeting for formal consideration and potential adoption.

We encourage all community members to attend and stay engaged in shaping Prescott’s Future. For more information about the Workforce Housing Committee, go to ParticipatePrescott.com.
