Prescott Public Library Installs Airport Book Nook

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

PRESCOTT, AZ (October 28, 2026) – Prescott Public Library is delighted to announce the installation of our newest Book Nook at Prescott Regional Airport. Book Nooks are bookcases stocked by volunteers with books that are donated to the Friends of Prescott Public Library’s Book Sale. The library’s Book Nooks are strategically placed in public areas where people might benefit from something to read or learn about library services. Book Nooks are stocked with popular books for all ages, and encourage people to take a book and, if they wish, return one later.

The Airport Book Nook is the ninth location and is located post-security in the airport terminal. Other Book Nook locations are the Yavapai County Courthouse, Polara Health, Prescott Area Shelter Services, Yavapai Community Health Center, The Family Resource Center at PUSD, Prescott Community Cupboard, Prescott Meals on Wheels at the Center, and the Connections Center at Yavapai County Justice Center.

Library Book Nooks serve as a way for the library to promote reading and literacy, as well as to draw people into the library for additional services. Book Nooks feature Library branding and a bookplate in each book that acknowledges that the books are donated through the Friends of the Prescott Public Library. Currently, three library volunteers make monthly visits to each Book Nook to keep them stocked with books and updated library information.

Prescott Public Library brings you the discovery of ideas, the joy of reading and the power of information.

Check the library’s online events calendar at https://library.prescott-az.gov/ or call 928.777.1500 for more information.
