The City of Prescott and their design engineer invite you to attend a community meeting for the upcoming Miller Valley Road and Grove Avenue Sidewalk Improvements Project. This meeting will be held in the Crossroads Center at Prescott College, 215 Garden Street, on Wednesday, April 29, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. This meeting will give you an opportunity to learn more about the upcoming sidewalk improvements, provide design input and learn more about the project schedule and how construction may impact you.
Property owners and business owners are highly encouraged to attend this meeting. This project consists of improvements to sidewalks along Miller Valley Road and Grove Avenue, especially at intersection pedestrian ramps and driveway access ramps, to improve mobility device access and to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Improvements include the removal and replacement of sidewalk and sidewalk ramps at intersections and driveways. Other improvements may include the addition of ADA sidewalk on the east side of Grove Avenue at Lincoln Avenue and on the west side of Miller Valley Road between Elrod Road and Garden Street, drainage improvements (particularly around the intersection of Miller Valley Road and Brannon Avenue), intersection improvements at Miller Valley Road and Rodeo Drive, ADA compliant roadway crossings, new roadway signage and pavement markings, and the relocation/removal of overhead utility and street light poles that impact sidewalk accessibility. The City is proud to be improving pedestrian accessibility for all users along this high-use corridor. Construction of this project is scheduled to begin in summer 2026. Additional information will be made available prior to construction commencing. For questions and additional meeting information, please call the Project Hotline at (928) 237-3114.
