Council Meetings

Overview

City Council holds their regularly scheduled Council meetings on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month. 

Each meeting day will consist of a 1:00 p.m. (time is subject to change) Study Session, and a 3:00 p.m. Voting Session. Additional special meetings may be called as needed. 

Meeting Location: City Council Chambers at  201 N Montezuma St.

Action Taken

Pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes, action taken at meetings will be posted on the respective Agenda page within three working days of the meeting. Approved minutes of the Prescott City Council will be posted within two days of their approval. Action Taken for Council Meetings are available under the meeting tab on the Public Portal

Minutes of other commissions, boards, etc. will be posted as they become available, and are provided as a courtesy to the public on the Boards & Commissions page.

City Facility Naming Policy

Citizens interested in having Council review and evaluate a request for naming of any buildings, facilities, trails or other property owned by the city shall submit an application to the City Clerk’s Office. Please follow the link below to submit your application digitally. Should you have any questions please contact the City Clerk’s Office.

The 30-day public comment period is now open through Friday, August 15 at 5 pm for the requested renaming of the Watson Lake Horseshoe Courts to the “Cal Cordes Horseshoe Courts”. Public Comments should be submitted to city.clerk@prescott-az.gov and will be included in the Council Agenda packet for the Tuesday, August 26 City Council Voting Meeting when Council will take action on this matter.

Presentation Requests

Citizens and local organizations may request to make a presentation to the Council at a Voting Meeting.
Requests must be approved by the Mayor OR two members of Council and are limited to 5-10 minutes.
Requests should be submitted NOT LESS than 30 days before the desired meeting date.
