The project generally consists of the design and construction of three (3) new fire stations. The addition of the new fire stations will help to achieve a reduction in response times through optimally located resources and help meet the growth in the City of Prescott. The new fire stations, funded through the voter-approved Proposition 478 special sales tax, are a critical component of the City’s public safety service improvements prioritized by both City Council and residents. The new fire stations will be constructed on City-owned properties.
Station 76 will be located at 1600 Sundog Ranch Road, at the northwest corner of Prescott Lakes Parkway and Sundog Ranch Rd. Station 73 will be located on the west side of State Route 89 near the Phippen Roundabout and the Constellation Trailhead parking area, and Station 72 is located at 530 6th Street. Perlman Architects has been awarded a design services for the project.
The anticipated completion dates for design; Station 76 in January 2027, Station 73 in February 2027, and Station 72 in March 2027. The City advertised a Request for Statements of Qualifications (RSOQ) for a Construction Manager at Risk (CMAR) in February 2026. Statements of Qualifications (SOQs) are due March 5, 2026. The city plans to review and rank the SOQs by the end of March and select the top ranked firm by the end of April. The CMAR will submit a Pre- Construction Services Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) proposal for approval and award at the May 26, 2025, City Council meeting. The anticipated start of construction is the spring of 2027; The goal is to complete the construction of the new Fire Stations by the end of 2028.
