Notice is hereby given that the Prescott City Council will consider and possibly adopt new and increased fees and charges on the Citywide Fee Schedule. The following is being proposed:
- Community Development, City Clerk, and Public works are increasing their fees per the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
- Airport is proposing an airport use license fee and adding commercial and non-commercial differential rates to the tie down, hangar and storage rentals fees. See justification: Airport Justification for Rate Increase FY26
- Library is proposing increasing rates for room rentals for upgraded technology.
- Recreation Services is proposing increases in rates for parking fees, facility use rentals, and special events application fees to keep up with increased costs of providing services.
- The Fire department is proposing to do a catch-up CPI adjustment for its plan review, inspection, and permit fees as they have not been increased since 2016. See justification: Fire Department Fee Schedule Propsal
- Police Department is increasing fees for a onetime fee (per copy) of $46.00, per video-hour reviewed, “Video Recording Copy Fee”.
- The fee will help cover the costs for the time reviewing, transmitting, making a copy of, and as necessary, redacting a video recording for public records requests filed for a copy of a law enforcement video recording and this fee is allowed to be charged pursuant to Arizona Revised Statutes § 39-129. The Fee will apply to all persons who submit a public record request for a copy of a law enforcement video recording, except a victim of the criminal offense related to the recording, the victim’s attorney on behalf of the victim, or an immediate family member of the victim if the victim is killed or incapacitated, as further delineated in Arizona Revised Statutes § 39-127.
The fee schedule changes will be discussed, and possibility adopted at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on May 27, 2025 at 3:00 pm located in the City Council Chambers at Prescott City Hall, 201 N. Montezuma Street, Prescott, AZ 86301. The new and increased fees and charges will become effective July 1, 2025 after the adoption of these new and increased fees by the Prescott City Council.
