Severe Weather Services

24-hour Weather Response

Designated Street Maintenance crews will be on call 24 hours a day during and after any major storm events to check for and remove downed trees and debris, clear clogged storm drains and to assist residents in flooded areas.

To report road hazard and/or damage please call 928-777-1126

  • For emergencies call 911
  • sandbag locations

How to Report Fallen Trees

  • Fallen trees/debris blocking major roadways, intersections, alleyways or present safety concerns: contact the Police non-emergency line.

  • Fallen trees/debris NOT blocking major roadways, intersections, or posing a safety concern, please contact us.

  • Fallen trees/debris on private property or alleyways are not City responsibility. You can look for the bulk item pickup options offered by the Trash and Recycling Department or contact County Fire Wise teams.

NOTE: We suggest you trim trees away from windows and roofs, and thin tree canopies to help prevent limb breakage and uprooting during storms.

If You Are Driving...

  • Obey all traffic, detour and road closure signs and avoid low-water crossing areas!
  • Do not attempt to cross flooded roadways! Even shallow running water exerts intense pressure and can sweep your car off the road or stall your engine.
  • Slow down! The first rain of season brings unusually slick conditions.
  • Approach any non-working traffic signal like a stop sign. Traffic signal outage can be reported to Police non-emergency line.
  • For more monsoon season driving tips from ADOT click here.

If The Power Goes Out...

  • Turn off high usage items such as air conditioners, computers and televisions so there is no danger of overloading your system or damaging these items with voltage fluctuations when power returns.
  • Keep your freezer and refrigerator door closed.
  • Keep batteries, flashlights, and a battery-operated radio or TV handy in the case of power outages.

You can report and get the latest information and updates on power outages through your utility provider:
