The intent of the standards is to provide clear and concise direction regarding technical requirements, policies, and processes to facilitate the design and construction of City Capital Projects and private development projects that include public improvements, such as water main, sewer main, drainage, streets, etc., which will be given to the City for long-term operation and maintenance.
The City Council adopted the “General Engineering Standards”, which include the Quad City “Standard Details”, on June 7, 2016.

The MAG (Maricopa Association of Governments) Uniform Standard Specifications and Details for Public Works Construction includes Specifications, a description of definitions, techniques, and materials; and Details, a series of technical drawings showing graphical representations of some of the specifications.
These publications are used by MAG member agencies and private contractors throughout the state. These specifications and details are updated annually, and revisions are typically published at the first of the year.
The City of Prescott’s Supplement to the MAG Uniform Standard Specifications and Details for Public Works Construction includes revisions and replacements to the MAG specifications and details that the City Engineer has determined a necessity for more stringent specifications due to Prescott’s unique topography, and climate.
